Voxel's Team Leaders
Raj Dutt Founder & CEO
Raj founded Voxel in 1999 from his dorm room at RPI. As CEO, he is actively involved with all facets of the company, from determining Voxel's business strategy to working hands on with key accounts. Before Voxel, Raj was the V.P. of Network Operations at Aimster, as well as a Project Manager on VA Linux Systems' Linux.com portal. He enjoys flying single engine airplanes over upstate New York.
Zachary Smith President
As Voxel's President, Zachary oversees the day to day operations of the company, focusing on providing an industry-leading level of customer service and a sales process that engages, challenges and respects Voxel customers. Zachary's goal at Voxel is to turn each customer into a "raving fan". Prior to joining Voxel, Zachary founded DelphianSG and MerchantPlus, successful ventures focused on eCommerce development and Internet credit card transaction processing. In May 2006, after a long history of working together, Voxel acquired DelphianSG. Zachary was a bass player in his past life, graduating with performance degree from the Juilliard School in 2001.
Sam Machiz VP of Sales
Sam boasts nearly a decade of experience in the hosting industry, having co-founded a startup focused on the burgeoning dedicated server market in 2000. Today, Sam is responsible for Voxel's sales strategy and maintains an active role in product development. He has grown Voxel's sales numbers organically and earned the company a reputation for technical "clue" at all levels of the sales process. A political science major at State University of NY, Geneseo, Sam often incites riot-like debates about politics in the NYC offices.
Adam Rothschild VP of Network Architecture and Operations
Mr. Rothschild oversees Voxel's production global IP network, and has built every ounce of it since his involvement with the Company in 2003. Prior to Voxel, Adam founded Latency LLC, an engineering consulting firm based in New York City. In his free time, Adam volunteers as a technical adviser to the New York City eXchange (NYCX), a not-for-profit peering point, and is an active member of NANOG (North American Network Operators' Group). Adam's favorite pastime is making furniture from retired core routers and enjoying over-priced Korean food with fellow network operators.
Michael Venzke VP of Development
Recruited in 2006 to lead development of the VoxCAST CDN, Mike now manages all software development and is responsible for improving Voxel's service offering through intelligent software. Mike comes with considerable industry experience and an expertise in highly-scalable, distributed systems design. His code has been used for real time credit card transactions, military signals intelligence, searching the human genome, and managing peer-to-peer transactions for millions of users. Beyond software, Mike is a serious poker player and walking/talking sci-fi show database.
