For Immediate Release

NEW YORK/EWORLDWIRE/Sep 16, 2008 — Voxel dot Net Inc. today announced that it will offer fully-integrated, premium on-demand content delivery network (CDN) services as part of its standard hosting offering - at no extra charge. Branding this new innovation as Universal Transfer, Voxel becomes the first hosting company to allow its clients to mix and match their high bandwidth needs between dedicated servers and a CDN. For new and existing hosting clients, Voxel believes this will dramatically simplify the decision-making process regarding current and future capacity needs.

Starting today, companies who know they need hosting - but still may not know when or if they may need a CDN - can benefit from flexible customized contracts, transparent pricing, and the ease of working with the experienced and professional team of engineers at Voxel. Already in front of industry trends blurring the lines between the hosting and CDN industries, the company created Universal Transfer to meet market demand.

“Especially in today’s economy, hosting clients such as fast-growing start-ups and rich media sites want to pay for only what they need while still preparing for growth and reaching a global audience,” says CEO and founder Raj Dutt. “By removing the cost-premium typically charged in our industry for using a CDN in conjunction with hosting, we’ve made this a no-brainer. Just turn it on, and we’ll make it happen.”

Voxel reports that over 25 percent of its clients including DailyKos, Perez Hilton, Hasbro and the New York Observer, subscribe to both its hosting and VoxCAST Content Delivery services. With the introduction of Universal Transfer, Voxel removes the barrier of entry for CDN services and enables even the smallest hosting deployments to realize the performance, reliability and scalability advantages of VoxCAST. Voxel is the only hosting provider to offer this value proposition, made possible by its unique competitive advantage of owning and operating both a global IP Network and a leading CDN.

To simplify the traditionally complex process of proper CDN implementation, Voxel has developed a new Apache web server module (”mod_cdn”). This new module, released as an open source project, allows customers to seamlessly offload rich media content from their hosted infrastructure onto the VoxCAST CDN and eliminates the need for application specific integration.

Along with the announcement of “Universal Transfer,” Voxel is also launching the latest version of its Linux Voxel Server Environment (VSE) today. The new VSE comes as as a standard feature with all Voxel’s managed hosting offerings. It provides built-in monitoring, resource optimization and performance-enhancement tools, including the new mod_cdn module. Notably, the VSE will also allow clients the ability to move easily between dedicated high-performance servers and virtualized environments.

Voxel’s managed hosting offerings start under $200 and are fully customizable to meet clients’ specific needs for control. The company publishes its pricing for hosting and CDN services on its Web site at http://www.voxel.net.
