Voxel Highlights Hybrid Cloud Growth and Accelerated Adoption of Virtual and Physical Cloud Servers
Today, Voxel announced impressive growth on its VoxCLOUD global cloud computing service, which has increased total daily average usage by 162% since January 1, 2010. The service, when combined with VoxSERVERS, the usage-based physical server product offered by Voxel, has been widely adopted in a hybrid model that Voxel believes is the basis for most scalable web application and data processing requirements in the cloud computing market today.
“We’ve completed a massive retooling of the underlying infrastructure that powers our VoxCLOUD, VoxSERVER and VoxCAST platforms. Now, all services are available in “per use” billing models and can be self-provisioned over our standards-based API (“hAPI”)” said Raj Dutt, founder and CEO, Voxel dot Net, Inc. “Our end-to-end automation of the infrastructure services stack is enabling customers to move their applications into the cloud while leveraging off of both physical and virtual hardware resources.”
Customers that have adopted VoxCLOUD include popular media websites, SaaS providers and data analytics companies, with key decision drivers being the simplified access to both physical and virtual servers through the same API, ability to “mix and match” cloud servers with dedicated managed hosting deployments and the availability of Voxel’s global infrastructure presence, which includes 3 international hosting locations: America, Europe and Asia.
“Voxel provided the perfect solution for us with its hybrid hosting model,” stated Nathan Goulding of the National Review. “We are able to have our permanent servers always on, but also expand our web tier into the cloud when we need it….not only is the infrastructure that Voxel provides key to our success, the support staff has been indispensable. Knowing that a team of experts are ready at a moment’s notice gives us much-needed peace of mind.”
Notable client wins for this year include the National Review, Human Rights Watch, Nerve.com, Meebo, OpenDNS, TheBlaze.com, and RawStory.com.
Voxel’s infrastructure solutions include the VoxCLOUD global cloud computing platform, the VoxCAST CDN and physical “bare-metal” VoxSERVERs. Combined with over 10 years of experience in white-global managed hosting and one of the largest IP networks in the world, has made Voxel the “go to” partner for hosting and scaling demanding web applications.
