Voxel is far more than just a managed hosting company. In fact, more than 30% of Voxel's staff participates in R&D, and the notions of tinkering, reimagining, and inventing permeate our culture.

Voxel Labs is an embodiment of Voxel's creative side. We often work on projects -- whether official company initiatives or fun little side projects to satisfy our curiosity -- that turn out to be interesting enough to share with the world. Here is where we'll share them.

Projects

  • mod_cdn - mod_cdn is an apache2 module developed by Voxel Labs that makes VoxCAST and other CDNs easier to use by automatically "CDNifying" some HTML content and prepping the apache server to act as an origin.
  • Voxel Server Environment - The "VSE" is Voxel's RedHat/CentOS-derived Linux operating system. Tuned and tweaked specifically for our managed hosting offerings.
  • hAPI - Voxel's Hosting API: a programmatic method to view, order, control and monitor your Voxel infrastructure.
